Kevin C. Guanaga is a lawyer with diverse legal experience who takes a "no-nonsense" approach to his client matters.  With more than 13 years practical experience in immigration and business law and litigation of business claims, Mr. Guanaga is available to help both foreign and domestic clients realize their business goals and protect their interests.  

Mr. Guanaga has helped hundreds of foreign entrepreneurs, business professionals, entertainers, and artists acquire legal status to work in the United States.  He also has extensive experience in helping people immigrate through their U.S. family ties or employment.

In the business realm, clients come to Mr. Guanaga to form business entities, consummate sales and purchases of businesses, acquire business licenses, prosecute business claims involving breach of contracts, collections of accounts receivable, and evictions.  Mr. Guanaga also performs contract drafting for procurements, business relationships, services, and leases, to name a few specialized areas.  His practice includes alternate dispute resolution to help clients avoid the substantial cost of litigation.   

Mr. Guanaga periodically appears live on Radio Fe, a Spanish-language radio show that transmits from Atlanta, Georgia, where he answers questions on immigration law and informs the audience on the latest immigration news.  In the past, he has appeared on Law You Can Use, a Miami-based legal program, as a panelist on immigration law.

Mr. Guanaga is a member of the Florida Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the national bar association for immigration lawyers.  He is licensed to practice in Florida, before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  In Spring 2009, Mr. Guanaga was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar.  He is a commissioned Notary Public in Florida.

Mr. Guanaga is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese, a skill that has served him well with his Brazilian clients. He is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Guanaga earned his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois.

During his free time, Mr. Guanaga is an active athlete and a creative writer.  In 2007 he was recognized with an Honorable Mention by Billboard Magazine for one of his songs entered in the 14th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest.
