Immigration Reform Cannot Wait According to The Miami Herald

01/14/2013

The Miami Herald on Monday, January 14, 2013, wrote in an editorial piece that with an already crowded congressional agenda, immigration reform legislation is in danger of getting side-tracked again.  Referencing a recent report from the non-partisan Migration Policy Institute, the Herald reports that since record deportations have been reported since 2007, the time is now for immigration reform to take place.  Enforcement has been a priority for some time now, but the real problem has yet to be addressed according to the Herald.  Some Republicans are now on the bandwagon too, the editorial reports, which is more the reason why the time is ripe for action.  Ultimately, The Miami Herald urges action now from the President and proponents of immigration reform.
